Dr. Lubinsky is an ABPN Board Certified Psychiatrist and former Clinical Associate at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in the treatment of a variety of mood, anxiety, and trauma related disorders. He is experienced in working with veterans in his role as a staff psychiatrist within the VA healthcare system including as the medical director of a residential treatment center. His treatment approach includes both advanced psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Care is tailored to the individual and is based on evaluation and integration of biological, psychological, developmental and environmental factors that contribute to decreased wellbeing. Dr. Lubinsky believes in using psychotherapy to help his patients understand their inner emotional conflict and how their symptoms may be an adaptive response to life circumstances. His patients report that after treatment they have a better understanding of themselves, are better positioned to meet their goals and have healthier patterns within their relationships.
Education
Dr. Lubinsky completed his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University, majoring in neuroscience and psychology before receiving his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine. He also holds a Masters of Arts in Medical Science from Boston University. He went on to complete residency training at Temple University Hospital as chief resident. He received a scholarship to train at the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Center, completing coursework in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
